Meet Sunil

Sunil Setlur is a technology optimist on a mission to build organizations that inspire.

He founded Cognisen to help founders and investors bridge the gap between bold vision and effective execution. Sunil’s expertise isn't theoretical, it is rooted in his tenure as Global Chief People Officer of Gojek, where he architected the people strategy that scaled one of Southeast Asia’s biggest tech giants through to its IPO.

His leadership playbook combines the rigor of global heavyweights (Google, Amazon, Accenture) with the agility of the startup ecosystem. Before founding Cognisen, he served as a strategic advisor to the GOTO Group CEO, a Commissioner at Electrum (Indonesia’s EV leader), an investor in early stage ventures and a Venture Advisor at Argor.

Currently, Sunil wears two hats: leading People & Culture at Mindtickle while serving as Managing Director of Cognisen.

Sunil holds degrees in Industrial Relations, Economics, and Sociology from Bangalore University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Capital Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
